Appalling Vodacom online after sales service

I bought an iPhone a month ago online through Vodacom. I asked that the contract be opened under my current Vodacom number. The consultant apparently forgot to include this in the purchase notes and so I received a phone under a different number. I was told not to activate the phone until they moved it to my current number.

I reported this twice at the Sandton City outlet and also 3 times through the After Sales phone line. Each time I was promised 2-5days turnaround time but no one has gotten back to me.

On each occassion that I have followed up I have been told it's being escalated to the 'back room' who will then get back to me after the investigation. No one has gotten back to me, and I haven't been able to receive any definitive answers.

I've been sitting with a phone that I can't use for just over 3 weeks now. Vodacom online is an ill managed service with people who are not well trained to care or follow up for customers. There is no system of escalation or any one that can action queries or complaints. This is really frustrating as I have been a Vodacom customer for over 10 years now. Seriously considering porting to the yellow side and returning this phone.
