Unable to cancel expired contract

I called in June to cancel my contract. They told me that my last payment will be September. I am still getting billed and I am still receiving airtime. At the moment I am on contract for R150 per month. I am not using all of my airtime so my airtime is carried over to the next month. At the moment my airtime balance is around R400 and I can only receive airtime up to R450 (three time my contract amount). So at the moment I am paying the full amount for only R50 airtime. I totally understand the reason for the low amount of airtime as it was in the contract when I signed up - HOWEVER, I am highly upset about why I cannot cancel my contract (which has already passed the 24 months I signed up for). I am heavily disappointed and I am thinking about porting out to a cellphone service provider who can give me better support.
