We fell into arrears as a result of my husband not working, we arranged that we will pay small amounts for August and September in order to keep the account active so as not to cancel our line. Then about 14 September we will settle the arrears. It was agreed. Unfortunately a payment was made into our old account on 02/09/2013 of R 250 and although I requested this payment to be transferred to the new account our line was cancelled in any event. Now I requested to speak to a manager or supervisor and the very rude and arrogant call centre agent put me through to VVM Attorneys??? I also made payment of the arrears today 12/09/2013 bringing the account up to date. I have had many problems with Telkom but this takes the cake. As the payment was made before the line was cancelled I request that our line be reinstated with our old number within 48hours or I have no alternative but to AGAIN approach the Ombudsman and my attorney.
