We upgraded our telephony service from a Telkom Wireless Line to a Telkom Fixed Line with ADSL and Internet Service in July. We were told that we had to give a 1 Month CANCELLATION notice period and pay for the Wireless Line even though we were UPGRADING our service with Telkom. Wireless cost R250 vs Fixed Line with ADSL R679.

The Wireless is a 3G phone that does not support ADSL or internet. Since giving notice to Telkom, we have been charged ADSL and Internet charges on the Wireless Line R999 (August) and R1040 (September). A dispute has been lodged with Telkom on the 27/07/2013 and it is still open.

On speaking to Telkom at the beginning of August, I was told I should pay the amount of R999 and wait for the issue to be resolved within Telkom and subsequently wait for a refund. I have only paid an amount of R278 in August for the Telkom Wireless line as per the consultants advice at Bayside Mall, and wait for the updated invoice (now R1040).

I was also charged R812 on my Telkom Fixed line for July/August because of the pro rata service for July. What I fail to understand was why I was charged R940 for Aug/Sept on my Fixed Line for an apparent error in July.
