Telkom completely Inept 2454 recorded disconnects

Telecommunications

Fault was initially logged for an intermittent internet connection on around 05 July 2013.

To date my fault has probably been escalated more than 30 times. Technicians test the line which at the point of testing may be working and close the fault, but later, the intermittent connections remain. For the month of August I was able to extract a router log which indicated around 2454 disconnections for the month. For the days that I was able to extract the log we are looking at an average of 150 - 250 disconnections over a 4 hour period. Given that I am only able to extract the logs for an approximate 4 hour period the total no. of disconnections could in all likelihood be multiplied by 6 which would result in around - 12000 disconnections for a month.

I find it incredibly difficult to believe that Telkom do not have a single service technician with the capability of resolving an intermittent line connection. This fault has now been open for 2 month with no resolution in sight and this continual cycle of fault open / close / reopen / closed to reopen is incredibly frustrating.
