Vodacom bad service

Telecommunications

I bought Samsung Galaxy note II, 8 months back, hardly two months, it just heated up at night i took out the battery, put it back next morning, it was dead, couldn't on nor charge. They took it for repairs, when it came back they said its water damaged, told them no its not it just heated up and it was dead.
They advised me to report it, cause it is insured, i couldn't, called, their helpline the lady that was assisting me also advised me to report it, its there on Vodacom's records as they always tell us their phone calls are recorded. I enquired with Sumsung they said it might be a factory fault. I went back to the shop and told them i cant report it because the phone is still with me. They filled in a form, sent it to Voda insurance. The insurance says for me to get a new phone i must pay R1256.00 access.
i told them that phone never touched water, I've been paying more than R600 for the past 6 months for the phone that i don't use. If really i damaged the phone with water i will gladly pay that R1256, but now why will i pay for something that i did not do.
Is it my fault that vodacom sold me a phone with a factory fault? "
