No notification about exoiry date

My husband has been trying to get hold of vodacom cancelation department to cancel a contract that has expired over a year ago and we did not recieve any notification about the contract.

they have been taking money for a year knowing the contract is not in use but did not make any effort to phone us to find out if the contract can be cancelled.

they have no after hour services for cancelations and when you try and phone them working hours you hold forever to speak to someone?

will we get any of our money back after all of this???
