I applied for a contract with Cell C in June 2013. I was declined and told the reason is because I do not have any accounts or any credit record. I was informed to take out a 6 months SIM contract and upgrade this contract to a devise after 3 months of this contract. Which I agreed too, solely for the purpose of getting a contract 3 months after. The 3 months pasted, I called the call centre again to do the upgrade as advised by the Sales consultant Sipewe, who initially sold the first contract to me. When I called the upgrades department I was told that I was not able to do so as my contract was a 24 Month contract though I was advised that this contract last for 6 months and I could upgrade it within 3 months. After hours of being and hold and waiting for call backs. I received a call back from the Sipewe again apologising for the mis-understand and mis-communication from the upgrades department. He then put me through to a different consultant so that I can do the upgrade. I did the entire process, chose a phone, chose a product plan, gave my banking details, EVERYTHING!!! I was told that I my phone would be delivered within 3-7 working days to the address I gave them... Continued
