Incompetence on their part costs me R7000

I upgraded my phone and contract and was on a 350 smart lite. the contract ended up costing me too much so I migrated to a R500 top up contract which was CONFIRMED (14 May) would be migrated at the end of the month (May). I paid my last R1400 bill on my 350 smart lite on 28 june. The R500 top up was supposed to have been in effect from the 1st of June, but on the 24th of June I received a message that there is unusual high usage on my account in excess of R5000. After querying this amount, I was told it was because the application for migration was never activated from THEIR side and that for the whole month of June, I was still being charged the same rate for the 350 smart lite package. I was using my phone under the assumption that my airtime would run out, instead it was accumulating beyond R6000!! Had I known it was still being charged old rates, I wouldn'tve ran up a bill even a third of that. Now I am being threatened by having my phone nr and phone blocked off the service if I dont pay this ridiculous amount. I have spoken to numerous supervisors and customer care centre agents and still no one can give me a clear answer. Absolute ripoff and injust treatment! Pathetic!
