REPAIRS TAKING TOO LONG

I am appalled by the service I received from MTN Melrose Arch under Laison the store manager. I have a contract with mtn for a samsung s3 and i sent it in for repairs on the 07/08/2013. Laison informed me that it would take between 7-14 working days to get it repaired. today is the 17th day and my phone is not with me. i followed up with the repairs centre/dept and have been informed that my phone only left for the repairs centre on the 29/08/2013. which effectively means i have to wait another 7-14 working days. Laison assured me that i would get my phone within the time stipulated!!!
i want to know why is it only on its way to repairs 16days after i sent it in!!!
Im a good paying customer... i think its only fair that i receive the service i pay for!!!
