MTN has charged me for data I did not use

I have been charged R1805.32 for data and calls that I did not make and I refuse to pay for it. (R1751.31 for data and R54.01 for calls). This was for the August 2013 statement. There are a number of good reasons why I say this is impossible:

1) Firstly, I have had smartphones for many years, I know well how they work, I know how to manage data. When I use data, I generally don't use packet switched data, I only do data activities using wifi.
2) The phone was off much of the billing period and hardly used.
3) There was a carry over of a few rand into the September period. It is impossible to be billed such a lot and still have some rand value carried over.
4) The amount of data to make a bill of R1500 is in the region of hundreds of megabytes. It is impossible due to the small amount of data I use. I have Wifi ADSL at home and hardly use any phone data.
5) My regular bills NEVER exceed my R100 or R200 airtime allocation. Why is this one month suddenly in the thousands for no good reason?
6) My phone logs data usage. I have a screenshot showing the total data used was 1.46MB.
7) MTN has been unable to prove or show when the data usage took place.
