Hi,

Since early July my ADSL line drops to below .9 MB during the afternoon and weekends - sometimes going as low as .3 MB. The Sync speed remains at 4096, just the speedtest being horridly slow.
During the day the line is perfect at 4 MB (fastest offered by the exchange).
The SNR, Attenuation and sync speed all remains the same during the 'fast' and 'slow' times (Atten 41.5 db, Noise Margin 15.3 db)
I have tried accounts with different ISP (Afrihost prepaid, WebAfrica, Telkom) - same speed issues.
I have also replaced my router.
The line worked perfectly for a about year - since August 2012,

I've been paying for a 4 MB line (uncapped via Afrihost) for 2 months now, but yet the line is down to less than 1 MB 50% of the time.
Afrihosts best answer is that I should downgrade to a 1 MB line if I have a problem with paying for a 4 MB line that no longer works??
