Frustrating dealing with call centre/ follow up

I had logged a complaint with Telkom Adsl faults. After extensive troubleshooting the problem was isolated to the exchange. I finally get a call from a Cape Town based transmission expert who understood the problem and planned a solution process.
Unfortunately at this time I travelled overseas and on return I tried calling the expert back to initiate the solution, however this number just rings.
I tried calling 10217 again to get back to the resolution process but the call center wants to start the entire tedious troubleshooting process again.
I just need to get back to the expert that called me and its so frustrating as the call centre is clueless.
The Cape Town based expert truly understood the issue and I wish I could get in touch with him without having to deal with the call centre again.
