I recently complained about billing on my data contract with Nashua Mobile. My bill for May 2013 shows I exceeded the 2 gig & also had an airtime usage of R254.87. My bill in June came & I was shocked to see my airtime usage is R537.89. After complaining about this rip off, I didn't get anywhere with them & ended up just paying the bills!
I find it very strange that my July bill went back to my normal subscription of R129 with no additional airtime usage, i.e. I did not exceed my 2 gig. Very convenient that the month after complaining, everything was 'back to normal'. At this stage I still had over 1 gig of data left as confirmed by the Nashua Mobile call centre (This was after the 15/07/2013 as I phoned to confirm what my data balance & account balances were).
I then requested a limit to be placed on the contract & chose the smallest limit of R20. You can imagine my surprise when I got 2 smses from Nashua Mobile on the 30/07/2013 stating the following:
* 18H53 - R85.38 (80%) of R20 call limit reached
* 18H54 - R85.38 (100%) of R20 call limit reached
At this stage my question/concern is pretty obvious: HOW THE IS R85.38 80% OF R20? Why wasn't I notified sooner?
