Sim Card recycled despite being rikka registered

To my detriment I discovered that my sim card I used for business purposes and data bundles in case of power outage, was recycled and given to another person.

Vodocom informed me that because I had not recharged the sim with airtime within a period of 3 months then they automatically recycle the number. THE FINE PRINT ON THE PACKAGING!!!

I thought that since it is rikka registed in my name, I shall be responsible for the use of this number.
what a farse!!!

I asked 12 people if they knew of this action... NON knew of it.
Even the Companies I dealt with did not know of this action.
