I applied for an upgrade to my Cell C contract through the store - for the first time since joining Cell C 8 years ago for applying through Cell C direct took too long. The store phoned me to say my handset was ready for collection. My upgrade was effective 01 June 2013 on the Samsung Galaxy SIV. The same handset was on the 3rd of August 2013 and I reported it immediately for the handset and sim to be blocked. I was then made aware by the call centre agent that the handset was not insured. I was shocked. All my handsets, prior to that one - have been insured. Nobody in the store advised me of insurance. I went to the store on Sunday 4th August and I was promised that they will follow up and ask for a copy of my contract to see if I was advised of an insurance or not. I am being moved from pillar to post... I still have not been helped. When I went this morning I was told the manager has since left. To make matter worse, I learnt that the agent who sold me the handset has since been dismissed, and I was not the only customer to have suffered this fate, and that the customer had to be reimbursed- for it was proven that it wasn't their fault that they were not insured. Help pls
