I am disgusted with the way I have been treated as a customer by MTN. Having been a customer for 17 years I expected better service but I guess I am just a number. It all started when my hubby and I went to the Menlyn branch to upgrade our phones. We decided on the Samsung Galaxy S3's and proceeded with the upgrade being assisted by MODISE MOFOKENG.Considering the value of the handsets when we were asked whether we would like insurance, our automatic answer was an emphatic YES.We concluded the deal and left under the impression we were insured. On Wed 15th May my handset was. I reported it had the handset and sim card blocked and on questioning whom i must speak to to claim for my phone i was informed i am NOT insured? But strangely I had still been debited for insurance for another phone whos contract was cancelled approx 2 months ago, assuming it was for the new handset, the latest debit being on 30/4/13? I as yet have to have and explanation as to why! To cut a long story short after many emails and a week later and even after I offered to pay in the shortfall for the 2 months since I had the new phone and the excess I was turned down by MTN, ADMIN /CONSTANTIA INSURANCE! Shocking!
