Unimpressed with VODACOM - seems they make their small print work their way. My first issue is that I took out a data contract, and clearly put a limit of R150 per month. I was regularly billed for much larger amounts - up to R293. When I queried this with their customer care, I was told that there is a limit of R150 BUT if a user logs on, for example with a balance of R20 left on the contract, and stays on, it will just continue over the set limit and will only stop billing when the user logs out. No warning is sent through to the user. Tough Luck

With this in mind, I went to Vodacom Sandton this morning to put in place a cancellation. My contract will expire in two months and I want it to end at that stage. I was told by the staff that I have to wait for the contract to finish and only then can I put the one month cancellation in place ie - i have to pay for three months. This is quite unacceptable. Tough Luck

I find this all appalling and a way to try to make an extra buck from their customers.
Will I get a response? - lets wait and see
