10 months of no resolutions to incorrect contract

I took a contract trough commit mobile with vodacom in February 2011 for a blackberry 8520 curve that I can not get canceled due to the call centre not bieng able to sort out the fact that this is a 24 month contract and not a 36 month contract this matter have been established in 2012 October and the call center does not find any record of this. I wanted to cancel the contract and was informed that if I do that I will have to pay cancellation fees. Please help even though I have been forced to stay in a contract I dont want all I need is to rid of vodacom. I need them to get this matter resolved so that I can get another contract elsewhere as when I wanted to upgrade with them they could not assist by getting the matter resolved.
