Can't cancel contract but then Vodacom cancels on

I called Vodacom Cancellations on the 4th of January 2013 to cancel my contract in advance for the 4th of February 2013. which is the expiry of my contract. They said they can't "pre-load" a cancellation for any day other than the last day of a month, meaning i would have to stay on until the end of February at Vodacom. ridiculous

Firstly i don't understand why I would even need to cancel my contract when it has an expiry date? The contract i signed 2 years ago only gave Vodacom permission to deduct money for 24 months so how would they even be able to deduct after 4 Feb.

So after long discussions i found out that i need to call ON the 4th of February to cancel my contract, which i was planning to do.

This morning, 1 Feb, i wake up and my BIS does not work anymore. None of my apps (Whatsapp, BBM, FB, etc) work but my browser does... using up data at the RIDICULOUS rate Vodacom charges for it (R2/mb versus Cell C's R0.15/mb. THIRTEEN times more!)

now i just want to find out what to do so I can cancel the contract TODAY, since i cant use my phone, and the idiotic operator tells my mom she FAILED the security quiz? HOW? Can't tell us.

Vodacom, i need this sorted, like YESTERDAY!
