I am fairly certain that it is ILLEGAL to raise the price of your services without informing your customers -- with sufficient notice -- such that they may have the opportunity to decline the service on offer at the new, higher price.

Telkom has now done this twice:

In May, the basic telephone line rental was R130.15 (excl. VAT).

In June -- without notification -- it became R130.88 (excl. VAT).

In July -- without notification -- it became R137.72 (excl. VAT).
