In 2011 I signed a 2year contract with 8ta when there was a promotion for Telkom employees, I supplied banking details as required but I was never billed, I asked the agent that assisted me but was refered to the call centre. I called and notified them but nothing happened then I never called again, a year later when I applied for 2 additional contracts only then the agent processing my application picked it up tha my contract was incorrectly created as a non paying employee not a normal 8ta customer. A bill of over 4 thousand rand was sent to me and I immediately called to arrange to pay off the lumpsum amount and continue to pay my mothly installment and the other 2 contracts, a case was logged and I received a case number then nothing. When I called again on a later stage I was told that the case was closed and I was notified via email, I was told that I have to pay the whole amount - my account has been handed over to the debt collectors and I told that there is nothing that can be done and if I don't pay it will have a bad impact on my credit record. I have tried calling every number that I was given by the call centre trying to arrange to pay off this account but to no avail
