Action:2 mins -criminals 24 hrs - rest of us

Ive just done a SIM swap with Vodacom. Besides having ordered the phone and having it delivered I still needed to contact the call centre to do a swap (from SIM to Micro SIM). Apparently it can take anything from 2 hours to 24 hours. Currently reaching the 24 hour mark i wonder why criminals doing SIM swaps to take over peoples bank accounts are able to do this in 2 mins and then swap back in 2 mins (2 SIM swaps in 4 mins). If the technology is there for criminals to do it so quickly why do the rest of us have to wait 24 hours (if we lucky).
