I applied online for an upgrade on an existing contract as follows:
Logged in to my account on Vodacom, select upgrade, choose package, fill in personal detail and submit.
The phone was delivered the next day as promised.
I phoned the upgrade department to verify what the next step is to get the new phone active and they told me I must do a sim swop, which I did.
Everything worked well, got a new cover and screen guard for the new phone. Two days later Vodacom phone and want to know where they can collect the phone because we cannot have two contracts with the same number. I said: I don't have two contracts, I only have one which I upgraded. They said: it wasn't an upgrade it is a new contract. They then insisted that I cancel the new contract so that they can collect the devise and I must re-apply for an upgrade. I said: if I redo the upgrade online the very same thing will happen again. The operator then said "my supervisor will call you back". I am still waiting. I have cancelled the new contract and I will re-apply online again and cancel again until Vodacom run out of phones, couriers or money or until they have enough brains to fix this. Let see how much money the will loose
