My bill has an extra line of R621 for out of bundle data that I allegedly used in a space of 3 hours. I first got an sms saying I'm about to exhaust my bundles. I checked the balance immediately & I had about 100meg. 3 hours later I bought 1gig of data bundles. At no point did I receive an sms saying my data is finished - meaning there was no point in the month where I was using out of bundle data. On querying this, I was told that my phone is fast & "sometimes" it uses data faster than the system updates. Basically I am charged R621 because their billing system is slow. I believe this is not a fair conduct towards consumers. Especially when with prepaid (3G modem) you get stopped when the balanced is at 3meg. If their balance reads wrong, and I get not notification why do I have to pay for this? Kindly advice how this can also be taken with the consumer commission.
