Annual upgrade and went to Sandton store for iPhone and advised to wait a week to see Samsung S4. Agent helped determine right Vodacom package bundle for my useage as I was moving from a Blackberry. Next week, I choose Samsung, agent didn't even know the Voda package and asked a colleague. Eventually confirm and I sign contract on screen and told I'd get copy via email. She activated my new phone and I was happy. Week later no contract, ask at store and told it will now come with my next statement. Shock, horror statement arrives with wopping R5, 486 owing and should be around R1, 200 as agreed. Call centre advises I've been billed for old BB contract and all calls, data at Voda rates and refers me to store manager who agrees to sort out. Week later I get a call to advise that the agent at the time told me I would still be on old contract for another month. Why would a sane person agree to acitivate the new phone early knowing the major cost. And if she did say, why no alternative bundle suggested? I asked the manager to ask the agent to recall in writing what she said, nothing received in over 3-weeks. Is this a, what about CPA? I want my money back please!
