Dear MTN and HelloPeters,

I am disgusted at what MTN has done to me in the past 12month. recently I opened a Data contract 5GB for R249 pm as thats what i can afford. Well I was utterly shocked to see a R3996 debit order off my account, when i call them they tell me of downloads on days even when the modem was off (some of their indicated times i had visitors who can corroborate my story). I ask them how is that possible and why let my bill get to that without notice, they then inform me my Credit limit is R8500. I ask how come as no one has ever told me that? the consultant starts shouting at me and being rude. One of their consultants from the branch adviced me to go ask the bank to reverse the debit order which i did as he was also confused. Now I am asking myself what business practise is this that MTN has employed of opening Credit Limit without notifying the customer, surely that is not legal as i cant manage my Credit as i don't know about it? we in high indebted time and for a company to make Billions of revenue from under the table dealings is surely unconstitutional. what happens if my modem was used? i cant be liable for a limit usage i never gave consent.
