On 11-07-2013 cables were in our area, leaving us without a landline and internet. Reference number 997CTK110713. Phoned on 14/7/13 to try and get a progress report. All they can tell me is that my line has been reported. I actually knew that (because I reported it!). But they can't give me an approximate completion time. All I get is that the problem has been forwarded to their cables division, which is apparently sub-contracted, and they can't find out from them when the problem will be sorted out. I couldn't care less who you subcontract to, my contract is with TELKOM, and you guys are responsible for my landline. And getting a response from your "Customer help line" that I can buy 3G mobile data if I want to have internet isn't helping much, because you guys can't tell me when my line is going to be fixed. Fix my line ASAP. And tell me when you expect it to be completed. And forget about me paying my full Telkom bill end of this month. If you deduct the full amount at month-end, that would be the equivalent of. For which I will lay charges. And I might just claim for loss of income too.
