Landline and ADSL line down for more than a week!

I have reported that my line is down numerous times, only to be told that I have already reported it.
After 8 days (the line went down on 15 January) no attempt has been made to repair the line.
For almost a third of the month I am unable to use the ADSL internet and landline that I pay for in full.

How long can it take to repair a broken line?
