Extending a 24 month contract

My Activation Date is 28 October 2003 and upgraded to a 24-month contract every time. Now they told me I have to continue till December and another month which is my cancellation month so I can end my contract in January. Where does the extra months come from? I Signed a 24-month contract so why the need for a cancellation month after that? The people in the branch can't explain this to me and I want a answer.
