I upgraded a contract that my wife is currently using earlier this year as I bought her a Iphone4S for Christmas. I took a smart standard package as it is a good balance of data, voice and sms. Everything was fine until about 3 Months ago when her data suddenly went up to R1000 over and above her contract rate, I query this with the billing department who told me I dont have itemised billing so I had to pay, they were rude and not helpfull at all. I asked my wife to switch off ALL her notifications, only to be billed another R160.00 over her contract rate, which was still acceptable, but defeted the purpose of her having a smart phone. Last Month I was billed R600.00 over and above her contract even though her usuage of the phone data decreced. I then went to Kolonade where they assisted me in phoning the billing department to get answers as to why I am billed so much, shockingly for the Month of July my bill was already at R760.00 for data usuage even though there was still data available on the contract. I was told that they will give me feedback in 48 hours that was change to 14 days. It is clear that there is a big mistake yet I am expected to pay. This is unacceptable.
