No warning before cut off

I was recently cut off by Telekom for an outstanding amount of r86. For the past two years I have been telling telling Telekom that my address is incorrect and was assured it was updated. It still hasn't been and only today was I advised that I need to bring in my municpality bill as they have it registered incorrectly. Because of this I have been receiving bills late. The only communication I received that I had an outstanding balance was my June bill which I received late because if the address mix up. I was away when I was cut off but was not warned that if the amount was not paid, it would result in being cut off. I understand that if an amount is not paid then cut off is a fair result. However I do believe it to be fair to be cut off after no warning, especially when I am receiving bills late due to a mistake I have been trying to rectify and was told it was done. Now I have to pay a reconnecting fee. In future, it would be nice to be made aware that I must pay an amount before I am cut off as I would gladly do so. As far as I was concerned, I had paid the correct amount of my last bill. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of communication.
