Electronic Billing and Arrears - TIMING!!!

I am highly irritated and have had unhelpful response from Vodacom! Each month, on 9th of the month, I receive my Invoice via email (electronically) HOWEVER each month, on the 8th of the month (the day prior to being sent the invoice!!!) I receive an SMS saying my account is in arrears and I cannot interact as my account is locked. This has been going on for months and months now.

SURELY the invoice should be sent out (and I pay promptly on receipt of invoice), and if not paid within 12 hours or whatever, THEN the account be put into arrears and not the other way around which is currently the case!
