I am writing to you to seek assistance in the following matter. My Blackberry trackball stopped working, I handed my phone in as well as the required documentation to MTN, V&A Waterfront on the 8th June. I received the first response (via telephone) from MTN on the 18th June advising me that my phone could be repaired at a cost of R 1980. My phone is under warranty. They indicated that my phone had been tampered with & this is the reason for the cost of the repair, I totally dispute this. They also informed me that if I was not happy then I should contact the repair centre, which I did on the 25th June & explained my situation again. The repair centre said that the original screws were not in the phone. This is impossible as noone has touched my phone, I was also told that MTN is doing me a favor as they do not repair phones which have been tampered with. I was then promised that my query would be escalated and their evidence of tampering and incorrect screws would be emailed to me. It is now the 5th July and to date I have not heard from them. I am now in a situation where I cannot use my phone, but MTN are still taking their monthly payment. What should I do now???
