I recently sent in two Internet dongles to Cell C, after both stopped working a few days apart. I was informed that the software needs to be updated for them to work. Vivian a supervisor from the customer care line contacted me to explain the situation. I noted that I know more people with the exact same problem, he agreed and said that there are allot of dongles out there that will need software updates to work but because it is out of warranty I need to pay for these updates. Is this fair for Cell C to change the software on devices and then expect the customer to pay them again to get there devices working??? After requesting this in writing he firstly refused, later he agreed to send it in a few days (I doubt that will happen), I asked for his supervisor and he said he didn't have one. I have been a loyal customer of Cell C for 15 years, however this will be my last contract period with them. So I ask you, if you read this and you are his supervisor please give me a call. Or fix my dongles for free since this is not my fault.
