Number still not activated after complaint-05/06

Tomorrow will be a month since I've logged my complaint - I'm still waiting for feedback and response from Veronica REQ 2258808 or the relevant department as she mentioned in my previous Hellopeter complaint on the 5th of June. MTN gladly debited my account like every other month - and I have been sitting with a phone that shows "insert sim card" ever since Veronica said that the matter has been taken up with the relevant department on the 10th of June. Please inform me if it would be easier for both parties if I just to go to the nearest MTN shop and cancel this contract. I could've purchased this phone CASH with all the money I've paid on this contract - and until now haven't received ONE DAY WORTH OF SERVICE.
