Handed over without any contact from Vodacom

I have been disputing a data charge invoice (almost R5000!!) since last year and never received the itemised billing as requested with details of which sites etc were linked to the charges.

I never received any calls, sms's or emails regarding the outstanding amount on my account related to this query and the next thing I know I have been handed over and listed on ITC. The worst part is that I received an sms from the collection agency to contact them. I have asked for a formal response from Vodacom which I sent to the collection agency and a pathetic response was received from someone who could not even type a professional email or answer my questions and referred to me as "he"!

So many processes have not been followed by Vodacom as specified by the National Credit Act and they don't seem bothered. No letter received via post or email regarding their intention to hand me over, even though they claim it was sent! In addition to this I never knew how much data had been used until it was too late and I had been charged - no notifications as well as a credit limit being added to my account which I never requested or approved.

I am disgusted and this boils down to entrapment!
