I have a 3G contract with Vodacom. On the 26 May I reported to the Vodacom that I live in Cape Town and have almost no signal at my house. Fault number S3TQQ4OO4128. The next day Desere phoned me to say that she would handle the issue and keep me informed. That is the last I heard from her. After calling again I was informed that a team would have to be sent to my area to do tests and that would take 14 days. After 14 days had passed I contacted Vodacom again to find out whether a team was sent. I was informed that they would go out the next day and I would be contacted within 24hrs. I phoned again after 2 days of no response and was told that the team had confirmed that there was almost no signal and I could cancel my contract with no penalties. Yeah right! On the 2 July, 5 weeks later, I contacted Vodacom again and was promised by Devin 299403766 that Lebo Makeng would contact me in 24 hours. Needless to say I was not contacted and had to phone again after more than 24 hours had passed. The customer service agent found out from the cancellations dept that Lebo Makeng was on sick leave for the last 4 days. Your cust serv is appalling and your staff make idle promises.
