GETTING CONTRACT CANCELLED/REVERSED

Elite Mobile contacted me at the end of my Vodacom contract, and talked me into another contract on 11/11/13. I received the phone on 13/11. After using it for a couple of days, I decided I didn't like the handset. The phone was collected on 19/11, and Elite Mobile confirmed that they had received it on 22/11. They sent through a request to Vodacom to cancel/reverse the contract on 26/11. I phoned every day last week to find out if this had been done, and met a blank wall from both Vodacom and Mobile Elite. Vodacom say they can't cancel/reverse the contract as Mobile Elite has to do it. Mobile Elite say they are waiting to hear from Vodacom that the contract has been cancelled/reversed, and tell me that there is a backlog in the Trade Partners Dept of Vodacom. As 'Joan Citizen', I cannot talk to anyone in that Dept, and Vodacom Cancellations Dept say the Trade Partners Dept does not have a phone, so they can't talk to them. I have been told by both party's call centres that it can take 1 day, 48 hours, 72 hours and 7 days to cancel/reverse this - no 2 calls give me the same story. I have Ref Nos S3-T9L2W-WMJ2I and S3-T9M2O-O6NY9 from Vodacom.
