Telkom doesn't show up for installation

I contracted a landline and ADSL services on the 29/06/2013. At the Telkom store, I was told that my line would be installed on the 02/07/2013. On the 30/06/2013, I received a SMS saying: Dear client, Telkom SA will send a representative to your premises to fulfill your services request. We have scheduled your new line installation for the 2013/07/02 - please note that this is an all-day appointment. Please ensure you have your original ID and bla bla bla. On the 02/07/2013 I received 2 SMS saying that my order was receiving attention and further communication would follow. Nobody called. I called Telkom and they told me that my installation is still under negotiation, that my installation doesn't have a date to occur and that they have no record that I ever had an appointment or received the message with the installation date (which is a lie). This behaviour is ridiculous, specially when you have a SMS with a date and Telkom tells you that your installation is not scheduled. Reading the other complaints about 1 month wait for installation I realized that I was caught by Telkom's standard modus operandi.
