CANCELLED BUT STILL GET ACCOUNTS

On about 24 April we cancelled our line and contract with Telkom. Initially they told us they could not because there was still a data line open which MWeb had to terminate. MWeb confirmed that they HAD terminated the line. After waiting 37 minutes for my call to be answered by Telkom I again told them to cancel the contract. The excuse was again that the data line had not been terminated which I confirmed it had. I demanded that they cancel the contract and to stop making these feeble excuses. After receiving yet ANOTHER account, I contacted them again and spoke to Moses. He AGAIN came up with the same story and I AGAIN confirmed it had been terminated after checking with MWeb. This time he gave me a reference number TOC86975876 and confirmed that it would be cancelled. Well guess what? I have received yet ANOTHER account which says the contract has STILL not been cancelled. Is this why Telkom only do cancellations over the phone (and force us to wait for the best part of an hour before they reply)? So we do not have documentary proof that we called to cancel? This, people is a highly unethical way of fleecing the public in order to stay profitable - especially us pensioners.
