Impossible to cancel contract

At the beginning of June I ported my number onto Cell C. I did my homework and checked the Cell C coverage map for Johannesburg as that was a concern of mine. It seemed fine for my needs, my areas falling into the darkest coverage colour.
Since I began using Cell C I have had endless problems with calls being cut off, being unable to complete a call, often being unable to complete a call to my voicemail. I am situated in Fourways and Sandton areas and not in the middle of nowhere where this might be understandable. I have endless problems with 3G where my phone is showing 3G signal but I cannot use the 3G. Again in the Fourways and Sandton area.
For the past 10 days I have been trying to cancel this contract and return the handset to Nashua Mobile. They said I had to allow Cell C to do a network investigation on my line and see if they could fix my issue. They can't. These issues have cost me a fortune in call costs because I've had to call people back because of calls dropping.
I cannot get anyone at Nashua Mobile to assist me and cannot carry on like this!!! When I attempt to speak to someone on a management level I am put on hold for over 20 minutes - I gave up after that!
