In July 2013 I took out a Cell C cellphone contract. Before taking out the contract I checked the coverage map and most areas I frequent in Johannesburg and Pretoria had coverage. Once I got the phone I realised I could not make and receive calls at home as well as other areas. I complained to Cell C directly and they claimed the network was being upgraded and should be completed by end of November 2013. I waited and the situation has not improved. I then lodged a complaint with Nashua Mobile (service provider) who logged this with Cell C - Ref number SD187412. A Cell C technician came to my house in December and prepared a report which confirms no coverage in my house and they propose putting a booster at my house. The problem is more widespread and a booster in my house will not resolve the network challenges I encounter elsewhere. The matter has been escalated to Cell C and I still await resolution. Whenever I call Nashua Mobile their response is that they have escalated and will provide feedback as soon as Cell C provides it. This is unacceptable since as the customer I have to continue enduring the inconvenience. I need resolution as a matter of urgency.
