Cell C
Handed to lawyers after years of them debiting me

I currently have a contract with cell c for the last 4 years. I am debited every month. I received a phone call from a lawyer out sourced by cell c days ago who claims I owe R2900.This was a immediate shock to my system as I have a closed line contract. I was never sent a letter or contacted yet I have been using the same cell number. I called cell c customer service to no avail. I know that if your account is in arrears a procedure goes on and my number becomes inactive or I cannot make calls. I have been making calls for years from this the initial contract number. It doesn't make sense that I am in arrears but have stayed wt cell c for many years and my bank account is currently debited every single month! When I upgraded at cell c pmb midlands mall there was an amount to pay I cannot recall the exact amount they then gave me my upgrade with the peace of mind that I paid everything I needed to pay. Why am I been contacted in 2013 about a apparent amount due from 2010 doesn't make sense and to hand me over to a legal firm is wrong.why am I still using the same number I apparently owe money on. Its a violation of my rights.dissapointed in cell c afte years. Please assist.
