CANCELLATION OF CONTRACT: EDGARS/RCMS

I, mrs E Prinsloo, have been in possession of a cell phone with no. 082 210 8407 for about 12 years. I also have an account with Edgars, no 7000 1001 0000 433 6269. About 5/6 years ago I was contacted by RMCS offering me a prepaid cell phone contract of R75, 00 per month, which amount would have been debited against my Edgars account. I accepted the offer. About three months later I noted that my Edgars account was debited with the said amount, but I never received the airtime credit on my cell phone.

I then contacted RMCS through Edgars and requested them to cancel the prepaid contract. After numerous telephone calls, emails and personal visits to Edgars store in Brooklyn they assured me that the contract was cancelled. Subsequently I noted that my Edgars account was no longer being debited with R75, 00. I have since destroyed all proof and evidence of this incident.

In order for me to purchase a new cell phone and enter into a contract with Vodacom (I DO NOT WANT MY CELL NUMBER TO BE CHANGED) it was discovered by Duane Bohmer at Vodacom Jacaranda that my cell number is still registered to RMCS.
