No service for 15 days already

I have not had service on my Telkom Line since 30/05/ 2013. My husband logged a call with Telkom on 31/05/2013 but that log was "lost". I then personally logged a call on 03/06/2013. Today is 13/06/2013. I have called the Telkom helpline several times. I have spoken to Lerato, Lindiwe, Kele and Gloria amongst others.
My Telkom landline has been broken since 30/05/2013. My husband logged a call with Telkom on 31/05/2013 but we were later informed that the log was 'LOST". I logged a call on 03/06/2013. The status of the log since 03/06/2013 is still LOGGED WITH TELKOM. I have an escalation reference too - 522708. I keep calling the call centre & getting cut off! I want to know 2 things -
1. when will my service be restored?
2. Since I have not had service for 15 days already, does that mean my rental cost for this month will be halved?
When I contacted the call centre yet again I was give the name of a technician the job was assigned to. But in order to get his number I must call 1023??? Seriously???
Dealing with the Telkom call centre has been PAINFUL at the very best. Seriously, how poorly will cell users be treated if this is the way landline users are treated.
