No service for over a month, still billed though

17/12/2012 - MTN SP emailed me, saying they suspect use of my sim card:
Good Afternoon
Please note that our system has picked up High Data charges on your account. Please confirm if you're in possession of your sim card and handset. Your current unbilled invoice is now sitting at R 2, 798.59
Should you wish to dispute the charges, please contact Customer Care on 808.

I had hardly used my sim that month.
So, I phoned. Apparently nothing they could do about it until the next invoice was finalized on 13/01/2013. Soon after, my account was suspended. Which means I had no use of it over Chrismas and New Years ("great"). So on 14/01/2013 I went into the local MTN Branch to see if everything had been sorted. Apparently my account balance was now 0.00. And was told everything should be working.
Its now 19/01/2013 and it still is suspended. Despite an online enquiry (MTN SP ITB [#6147378]) phone call to Accounts who said MTN would email me with what to do. I have heard nothing back.
Isn't it a bit unfair that I am still being debited of my account every month?
And have had to do everything myself, they should hold up their end.
