Takes more than 1 week to load a 1GB data bundle

On Sunday 2 June I went to the MTN Shop at the V&A Waterfront. I asked a consultant there to load a 1GB data bundle on my phone. He said that the data bundle would take max 1 day to reflect on my side and I should wait for the sms the next day as confirmation. On Wed 5 June I went back to the MTN Shop as my data bundle had not been loaded. I spoke to Lahmeez. The MTN Call Centre told Lahmeez that there was a network error and so the data had not been loaded. The USD Reference was 2239331 and the call reference was 100856677. Lahmeez said that the problem would be resolved within 2hrs. I went back the next day (Thurs) around 2pm because my data had still not been loaded. I spoke to Juanita. She called the Call Centre who said the data actually takes 24hrs to load and that it should reflect by 4pm that afternoon, but she would give me a call to let me know. She didn't call. On Fri7 June I called the MTN Call Centre directly. They said that my original query about the data (that Lahmeez logged) can take up to 10 working days to resolve depending on workload. I am still waiting for my data. I think it is ridiculous that to load just 1GB of data I have to wait almost 3 weeks.
