ADSL 2meg line Pathetic

I have had Telkom ADSL and Telkom internet for a while and the connectivity has always been acceptable during the day. However at night, when I am at home, it grinds to a halt. I logged numerous calls with Telkom and they told me it was traffic at night. I then changed internet service provider to Mweb and the same thing happened. I logged a call with Mweb and they talked me through a line test. This test shows that the ADSL speed is reduced drastically at night, so the common fault with both providers is the ADSL line. I logged a call with Telkom on the 26th May. The Technician pitched up on the 27th and standing outside my house, phones me at work, and says he is standing outside, can I open up? No warning call to preempt the visit. He then tells me he will be here the next day. As the problem is ongoing and I am paying for the service that i can't use, I stay at home to wait for him, cancelling meetings etc. He does not pitch up. I have spent most of today phoning TELKOMS " non" service line, getting cut off and generally not getting any help with regard to when the technician will eventually pitch up. I am ANGRY about this.
