Telecommunications

"I told you so" is what my husband says after this very bad experience with MTN. I was a Vodacom customer. I was shopping for a new contract and MTN provided me with the best deal. I did my online application through MTN direct. My only request was that I wanted to keep my Vodacom number... for two weeks MTN is unable to port my number.
If it wasn't a network failure, there are departments that didn't forward the application or port.
I didn't receive any feedback from anyone at MTN when they said they would get back to me. Last week, after struggling with MTN Somerset Mall, I went to MTN Zevenwacht Mall. After the third time I went back, the consultant, Jason said I had 2 choices, to buy a new simcard or do a simswop, for which I had to pay because someone wasn't doing their job - which I did, because I am home alone with my children and have no connectivity. I needed my phone on. I had to wait 2 to 24 hours for the sim to be activated an my number ported. Nothing. I was in hospital this weekend with my son, closest MTN shop - Sanlam centre. Went in, spoke to Michelle who said that she would follow up and get back to me. Its almost 2 weeks now and I am still not connected
